Why we do it
Lam Thi Hai Yen received a Protec helmet in 2009 as part of the Helmets for Kids program at Can Thuong Primary School. During her summer holiday, she traveled by motorbike with her parents to visit her grandfather. As her father stopped to fill the motorbike with petrol, another motorist crashed into them suddenly, while trying to stop. Lam Thi Hai Yen was thrown to the ground, but her head was safe, thanks to her helmet. She walked away from the crash uninjured, feeling a bit dizzy.
