What we do

On 18 November 2009 the AIP Foundation announced the launch of the Global Helmet Vaccine Initiative (GHVI) in partnership with the FIA Foundation and the World Bank Global Road Safety Facility. The helmet vaccine initiative will introduce helmet-wearing programs, piloted in Vietnam, to other developing nations experiencing similar crises due to rapid modernization and motorization.  

The five-pronged approach, including (1) curriculum development, helmets, and education, (2) traffic safety environment modifications, (3) public awareness education, (4) the safety products and equipment company, and (5) government coordination. Through the mobilization of political will and support from local government institutions, in addition to the financial backing of international and corporate sponsors, the AIP Foundation program in Vietnam will become a pilot for development.
